Hit the Gridiron, and Score the Greatest Aim at PS3 Madden 10

The soundtrack on PS3 Madden 10 is another facet that will get hardcore gamers going. These soundtracks have become such a major part of the sports video games that the game just wouldn't be the same without it. As a departure from other games, Madden 10 has decided to throw in some classics as well as current hits - and it will rock you. If you're not convinced, check out PS3 Madden 10's roster of songs: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. If all those features and upgrades haven't convinced you that PS3 Madden 10 is a masterpiece, then perhaps a trip through the sports video game timeline will. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. Once you've given the older football video games the once-over, you can grasp why people are drooling over PS3 Madden 10. At the dawn of video game consoles, one of the top requests from every hardcore gamer was a football video game for their system, naturally. Only thing was, video game consoles and cartridges didn't have the capabilities to match the needs of the typical hardcore gamer, so everyone had to take what they could get. To try to generate excitement, the creators of this one insisted it featured "all the excitement" of actual football. And since it was the only game in town, this is what passed for the gridiron.

The football players look like blocky little robots. Let's get that out of the way. You think that photo looks limited, you should see the gameplay itself. Put too many characters on screen at once with these older games, and every character started flashing and flickering. The "crowd" cheering sounded closer to a car running over gravel. No scrolling screen, either. Within a couple years, things would pick up slightly, with a competing console developing a football video game. This next one was a valiant attempt to make a more realistic football video game. But it was still nothing too impressive. Yes, people were pretty stoked to see some improvements, but this wasn't the sports video game to put sports video games on top. It would take a few more years for that to happen. This one was a big innovation for football video games, and has fans who still swear by it. For many years, this was the greatest football video game.

It's certainly easy to see why that one was a hit - the gameplay was far more sophisticated, incorporating actual offensive and defensive strategies. Everything - sound, visuals - got such a major upgrade that this was the final word in sports video games. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. Yet, it's still a poor man's PS3 Madden 10. When you've seen all the rest, now take a look at the best.

As you can see, football video games have evolved exponentially since their first appearance. No need to keep bagging on the old stuff. No need to beat a dead horse. The older football video games served a purpose, and set the stage for bigger, better sports video games. Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. But it's not just the hardcore gamers that are loving this one - the critics have weighed in, and they give it the thumbs up. Comments like "realistic and enjoyable" pepper each PS3 Madden 10 review. No shocker - EA Sports has scored another touchdown with PS3 Madden 10.

No doubt, PS3 Madden 10 is the real sport of champions, and don't let some douchebag tell you otherwise. Hey, each PlayStation sports video game is EPIC in its own way, but for our money, PS3 Madden 10 is the stuff legends are made of. In the video game world, PS3 football games begin and end with Madden. Along with its major popularity, this is also where you get to battle for bucks. PlayStation Madden 10 maniacs have the opportunity to challenge each other for some serious cash. Once you do your homework and study the playbook, you'll be in the end zone scoring points and making your rivals weep as you empty out their bank accounts.
